Restaurant Branding

Shingletown Pub & Eatery is an ode to Old Ballard, a neighborhood in Seattle once known for its lumber mills and maritime industry that has since been replaced with upscale restaurants and cool cafes. I led the branding for Shingletown, working alongside the owners as they built their dream bar from the ground up.

Brand traits: Northwest, lumber, pine trees, industrial, old timey

The owners wanted to pay tribute to the original lumber mills of Ballard. I created mock logos of the mills that were blown up into stencils, then painted by a local artist (with some help from me!) on an interior brick wall.

I worked closely with our photography, development, and SEO teams to produce visual and written content for Shingletown that built public interest before its grand opening and drove traffic to the website and social media channels, ultimately driving business to the pub.
